Hartmann Sc hedel published his “Liber Chronicarum", known as the Schedel's World Chronicle in 1493. It is the only secular folio size history incunabila of such immense importance. Schedel begins with the “creation of the world" and continues world history along the “Old" and the “New Testament. Much of the book is devoted to the description of countries and cities. The impressive image of Rome reaches across a double page.

Except for insignificant traces of age this 517 year old woodcut is in excellent condition
